This petition is in response to the talks of awarding Chris Kyle with the Medal of Honor (MOH). Although his service record is outstanding and he was the best in his craft his actions never warranted a MOH. His work after discharge with veterans with PTSD more than warrant a Medal of Freedom as he selflessly gave his time and support to his brothers in arms at their lowest points. As for his exemplary military career, although a MOH is not justified, naming a US Navy destroyer in his honor would be fitting.
