Posthumously award former Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Created by R.S. on February 15, 2016

While loved by some and loathed by others, Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia had a profound impact on the Supreme Court, the United States and law in general. His impact due to his masterful legal writing and introduction of Originalism (a previously unregarded legal interpretation) has changed the nature of the Supreme Court and the way we now interpret law in our country. From the high court to the classrooms of every law school in America, whether one agrees with his interpretation or not, his introduction of this legal interpretation has forced a better understanding of the Constitution for people on all sides of the aisle in order to advance their arguments and be more intelligent individuals. The precedent has been set as 9 Supreme Court justices have received this honor.
