On December 29, 1890 members of the 7th US Calvary killed more than 300 Lakota men, women, and children in an event known as the Wounded Knee Massacre. 20 US Army soldiers involved in the slaughter were awarded Medals of Honor for their actions. We the undersigned request that these medals be posthumously rescinded on the grounds that the soldiers' actions were neither honorable nor appropriate to the valor and distinction of United States' highest military honor.
