Postpone the Willie Jerome Manning execution and order a DNA test to be conducted.

Created by R.B. on May 05, 2013

The saying goes, "It is better to let ten guilty men go free than to let one innocent man be punished." While quite a terrible idea to take literally, the meaning of this proverb is to prevent the innocent from suffering that which they do not deserve. By allowing the Mississippi Supreme Court to deny Willie Jerome Manning's request for a DNA test it has committed a terrible act of injustice. His conviction is based greatly on testimony from an unreliable relative of the defendant who accused two others before Manning.

Of course, if this petition does gain enough signatures it will most likely be too late, as the execution is set for Tuesday, May 7th.
