There is a large discrepancy as to what should and should not be allowed. Where the poverty line is and is not.
Nobody at the minimum wage line can afford to pay city, state and or federal income tax because it takes away from their money to feed their family and basic resources they need to make them a member of the community. So it should be made where persons making $11.00 an hour/ $22,0000 should not pay taxes. At $7.50 USD you make $300 at 40 hours a week. This is not enough to live off of alone pay government. At $10.00 you make $400 a week. This is not a living wage to pay taxes. At $11.00 an hour for 40 work hours per week you can make $440. $11.00 an hour is equivalent to $22,000 a year. This is a semi-liveable wage with part time somewhere else.
