In accordance with St 108 the Constitution of Ukraine the President of Ukraine shall exercise their powers before taking the post of the newly elected President of Ukraine.
The powers of the President of Ukraine shall be prematurely terminated in case of:
1) resignation;
2) inability to perform his duties for health reasons;
3) removal from office by the procedure of impeachment;
4) death.
Preceding from the aforementioned removal of the President Yanukovych was a violation of that article illegally in a coup.
