To present and support legislation to make the second Tuesday of November, Election Day, a National Holiday.

Created by S.G. on April 17, 2013

The United States of America is built on the value of participatory government. Making Election Day a National Holiday would celebrate the American tradition of voting. Also, voting has become difficult for many workers as the process can be prohibitively time consuming. Making Election Day a federal holiday, as it is in some other democratic nations, would provide more people better opportunity to vote.
