I want the president to present a bill to Congress to make all national election days national holidays. Holding elections on work day prevents millions of working men and women from exercising their right to vote. I especially impacts low-income workers, many of whom must make long commutes to work and therefore have even less opportunity to go to their polling place before or after work hours. I want making voting accessible to all who are eligible to be a priority for the President's last year in office. I fear that a future administration may be less inclined to do so.
