Present a bill that requires Congress to discontinue its Congressional Healthcare Program.
This would require legislators to rely on the same healthcare and insurance options as other citizens. As it stands now, this is an unwarranted expense on the taxpayers. In addition, many of us are certain that we are not being truly represented by our elected officials, but are valued only as a potential vote. By requiring members of Congress to participate in the same kinds of healthcare and insurance that we do, we will benefit from the resulting greater understanding on the part of the people who enact our laws. Truer representation of constituents by the majority of legislators would be possible.
