Present to congress an bill that would allow citizens to have more say in the legislative process.

Created by D.C. on October 30, 2011

The current government is broken. Citizens are presented with two options, two parties. Often it is observed that gridlock in Washington, due to political posturing for the next round of elections, is the impediment for real progress. A super-majority is the only way real progress is made. However, typically when major bills arise in Congress, and the American population is presented with the proposed legislation, the people are rarely split 50/50 or along party lines. The internet has allowed for true democracy to be realized. I propose to fundamentally change how our government works in the legislative branch. The House of Representatives get a Yay or Nay vote. The Senate gets a Yay or Nay vote. The People get a Yay or Nay Vote. In this way there can never be a tie. 2/3 wins.
