We The People are tired of politicians talking about fixing education and are ready for the federal and state governments to work together to make it a reality. We demand a comprehensive education reform act be created and placed before Congress for a full vote before the election of 2012.
No Child Left Behind created a chaos of standardized tests that did little to improve the actual skills American children have when they leave public school. It's time to focus on educating Americans to lead in the 21st Century by removing roadblocks to education, creating true national standards for every student, and eliminating bureaucratic waste and red tape from our system of education. We believe education should focus on developing lifelong skills rather than simply memorizing data for a test.
