We propose such legislation be structured so that no employer, other than those employers that provide emergency services, medical services, communication services, utility services or media services, shall require any employees to work during the full 24 hour periods known as: Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Voluntary work shall not be prohibited.
Said legislation should also provide requirements that any products or services offered at a discount, by any retail or commercial establishment, at any time of the year, shall be available to the consumer throughout the entire business day that said retail/commercial establishment(s) select as the day the discounted product(s)/service(s) shall be offered.
