Present legislation that requires all gun owners to have their guns in a gun safe or at least to have trigger locks.

As a former Law Enforcement Officer, Marine, Rescue Team member, and gun owner I find it hard to believe that a simple task of keeping a gun safe and away from those who should not have access to them is such a hard task.
I also cannot believe that finding common ground between all parties and Americans can be so difficult.
Guns are owned by thousands. But only a hand full miss use them.
I call for everyone to make your guns safe. Lock them away. They even make safes for vehicles not just homes and businesses. Trigger locks are readily available.
Please sign this petition as a way to start what should be a simple responsibility of all gun owners. As a gun owner I feel it is my responsibility to keep my weapons safe and out of the hands of those who should not have them. Take this step.
