Asheville, North Carolina is suffering the pangs of rapid expansion. Established small businesses and long time residents are finding themselves staring at the business end of the wrecking ball more often than is sustainable. 12 Bones Smokehouse, feeding the River Arts District since 2005 and President Obama at least twice, is just such a business. A new riverfront development plan seeks to condemn the building for a new traffic roundabout and sidewalks. Please work with City of Asheville to come up with a development plan that spares this bastion of local character and helps the city better serve the needs of the local population.
