A newly discovered Native American village in downtown Miami is in danger of being completely destroyed. The discovery dates back over 2,000 years, belonging to the ancient Tequesta villagers. The developer, MDM Development Group, is trying to build a 34 floor hotel, theaters and restaurants on top of the new findings. MDM is only agreeing to salvage one or two structures from the site, leaving the rest to be buried or destroyed by the building project.
Please sign this petition to preserve the entire archaeological site as National Historic Landmark. Which could qualify to be UNESCO World Heritage site.
