Preserve our second amendment rights and address the real issue of gun safety and responsibility.

This a petition to address the real issue after the Newtown CT. tragedy. We want you to look at gun safety and mental illness; not banning guns. This was not the fault of the gun, but that of a mentally deranged individual. We as responsible gun owners and a free people do not feel that we should be punished based on the actions of a single individual. We do not feel that our rights should be infringed. We do not need to ban guns, we need to teach gun safety. We want the gun ban to be taken off of the table and out of discussion.
