Preserve the right to bear arms, No one is safe if only criminals own guns. Deter only those who use guns illegally.

This petition is to preserve the rights of U.S. Citizens to own and bear fire arms, as per the Constitution, Despite the recent tragedies, it is imperative that we maintain the rights given to us in our Constitution. Gun owners who procure their arms through the appropriate and legal ways, to use for self protection, property protection, sports, hunting, etc., should not be punished for the heinous acts of the criminally insane, hardened criminals and those who would seek to overthrow our government. Bearing arms is one of our most revered rights under the Constitution. Our forefathers insured that this right be a part of our founding document, and it should not be tampered with, no matter what. We need to insure that only those who are of sound minds are allowed to purchase weapons.
