Saturday mail delivery is still vital to many citizens and businesses in our nation. Its elimination would greatly affect the ability of many to efficiently do business and maintain correspondence. Eliminating Saturday delivery effectively amounts to delaying the mail by 2 days as letters that would have been delivered on Saturday will now be delivered the following Monday. The cost savings by eliminating Saturday delivery are minimal. For these reasons we petition the administration to preserve Saturday mail delivery.
