The first people who should not be paid their salaries, benefits, and pensions, should be The President and his Cabinet and all their staff, all members of Congress and all their staff, and all retired Presidents, Members of Congress and all their staffs. Besides this, their pay for a government shutdown or financial debacle would not be paid retoactive and for everyday of a government shutdown, or financial meltdown due to political incompetance, they loose a full months pay.
