In a generation of pronounced political division and following a long and bitter campaign for the Presidency, words and actions threatening ethnic and religious minorities have become dangerously pronounced and have been perpetrated with a brazen boldness that would be unconscionable at any time in our Nation's history. Now, as we stand at what is one of our most divided moments, we need our leaders to speak out. The President-Elect of our country needs to denounce the deeds that have been committed in his name in the days following his election. Mr. Trump needs to speak out against these horrendous acts in no uncertain terms. He needs to denounce this behavior as both his constituents and history watch him.
