General "Mad Dog" Mattis, the leader of the Marines that fought their way across Iraq in 2003 and current Commanding Officer of US CENTCOM was made aware that he was being replaced, by a civilian aide that passed him a note in a meeting. General Mattis is regarded as a legend by all Marines and is a true American hero. After serving his country for decades, President Obama didnt even have the basic respect to call or have a superior officer call and inform him. He was replaced for asking questions that forced the administration to consider secondary and tertiary ramifications of decisions about Iran.
