Originally, in the 2008 elections, President Obama promised to close the loopholes. But nothing has really changed. Corporate tax rates are 35%, yet many corporations pay less than 5% by utilizing offshore banking. Close the loopholes to increase the quality of life for everyone.
The US borrows money from other countries, so that these corporations can still avoid paying their fair share. And thats not fair to the majority of the US.
