I was on Facebook this afternoon and read a link one of my friends posted. It was how President Obama just legalized horses for human consumption in the US. Needless to say I was sickened, upset, mad, and disgusted. My first questions was, why?? What kind of person would eat horse was my second question. I knew as soon as I read the headline, I needed to try to do something, anything to try to stop this. I really need to ask, WHY do we need to eat horse now??? Don't we kill enough animals for food? Don't we torture and make animals suffer enough, for food and clothes? I cannot be a hypocrite, I do eat meat, but not poultry. One of my New Years resolutions is to become a vegan. It was very disheartening to read about this and I thought it was a joke at first to be honest.
