The Senate republicans have made it very clear, through statements released from congressional leadership and the 2016 presidential candidates that they have no intention of fulfilling their legislative and constitutional duties of debating, interviewing and confirming a replacement for Antonin Scalia while President Obama is in office. They would rather leave the Court crippled than do their jobs.
