President Obama must sign the Iran Sanctions Act (ISA) in order to keep America and her allies safe.
The impending renewal of the trade and financial sanctions on Iran has overwhelming, bipartisan support from elected Members of Congress. The U.S. House of Representatives passed the ISA 419-1, while the Senate passed it 99-0.
Sanctions on Iran serve as leverage against Iran when they violate the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, also known as the Iran Nuclear Deal, by testing missiles and pursuing nuclear weapons. These sanctions also serve to prevent trade and financing in certain sectors of Iran’s economy that are dominated by Iran’s terror-supporting military, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.
