Our nation's ability to peacefully transition from one leader to the next leader is a cornerstone of our strength and stability as a nation. We call on President Obama to publicly declare violence in response to election results to be halted and to encourage use of law enforcement and national guard troops to restore peace and order as needed. Furthermore, President Obama should point out that using violence and intimidation to achieve a political goal is terrorism and will not be tolerated.
