For the last 40+ years, every major party candidate has willingly disclosed their tax returns in the interest of good faith and open political discourse. Regardless of party, candidates have understood there can be no doubt as to any potential conflicts of interest when running for our highest office. Mr. Trump either does not understand this or does and is purposely hiding information.
US Code Title 26 › Subtitle F › Chapter 61 › Subchapter B › § 6103 (g) (1) gives the President the authority to formally request any citizen's tax return.
Mr. President, the People deserve to know what Mr. Trump is potentially hiding in his returns. Please consider making this information public so We the People may make as informed a decision as possible this coming election.
