President Obama please pardon Ross William Ulbricht

Created by J.J. on November 23, 2016

Dear President Obama,

I would like to request a pardon for Ross Ulbricht. These are the reasons for the request:

1. If guilty, Ross Ulbricht did us all a service by taking drug sales off the streets and reducing violence toward both drug users and innocent bystanders.

2. Ross's trial was a travesty of justice. His defense line of questioning was entirely shut down by the judge and no other perspectives and story than the prosecution's were allowed to be considered. Attempted murder was not a charge and should not be considered. If pardoned, he will be unable to return to management of such sites due to increased visibility.

3. Finally, four decades of drug war have been a drastic failure and have increased crime . It is time for a different approach with less use of force.
