President Obama, settle the lawsuit Kelsey Cascadia Rose Juliana et al v. United States of America currently before Judge Aiken in Oregon's Federal Court.
This lawsuit is brought by a group of children, and a climate change scientist, who argue that young people have a right to a stable and livable environment in the future.
Aiken has already ruled that there is “no doubt that the right to a climate system capable of sustaining human life is fundamental to a free and ordered society.”
If the Obama Administration settles, reasonably, the next President would have to abide by the legally-binding agreement, or spend a lot of time trying to overturn it.
