We the undersigned support Hillary Clinton because we do not want Trump to win. But we also support the rights of the Standing Rock Sioux. We denounce the violence being used against them in North Dakota and the flagrant trampling of their rights to the land and clean water. Therefore we will give our votes to Jill Stein if Hillary Clinton does not take a clear, definitive, and immediate public position in support of the Sioux and demand a permanent halt to the Dakota Access pipeline. In addition, we ask President Obama to 1) call off the violent repression of the Sioux protestors immediately, and 2) By immediate executive order, uphold the terms of the 1851 Treaty that recognizes Sioux rights to the land.
