The President shall not use executive order(s) to allow any person(s) permanent or temporary legal resident status .

Created by J.F. on November 09, 2014

The President should allow the new congress the opportunity to pass legislation on immigration issues. The Presidents continued threat to use executive order(s) to change the legal status of millions of people that have entered into the US or have stayed in the country after expiration of their visa is not constructive to the resolution of the matter. The past Congress and Senate are to blame also. They were not willing to find a compromise bill that would build some support for a alternate proposal. There is no reason the new congress and the President can not come a resolution on this matter. This needs to be resolved through the legislative process nor by Executive order.
