Twice in 16 years the clear winner by popular vote has been denied the win based on antiquated electoral college rules from the 1700's, that were put in place be a use there was no media for voters to "learn about their candidates." This was so the eastern seaboard voters could not overrule the western states, where news did not travel quickly. Obviously, this is NO LONGER AN ISSUE. Abolishing the electoral college is long overdue, by at the very least 16 years that we are now aware of. Twice in 16 years the winner of the popular vote has lost their bid for election. This isn't fair for EITHER party.
