Requesting a Presidential Pardon for Connersville, IN Police Officer Jeff Counceller and wife Jennifer for nursing an injured deer back to health and releasing it into the wild.

Gov. Mike Pence stated, "It appears conservation officers acted appropriately." It is illegal to take in a wild animal like a deer.

Court date is schedule in March 2013.

The officer and his wife are facing jail time after they nursed the deer back to health at their home.

The couple appeared on Good Morning America Tuesday, Jan 29.
