Rod received cruel and unusual above and beyond punishment. Rod deserves a pardon or at the very least, a commuted sentence. Elected officials like Madigan and Cullerton have become wealthy and powerful by riding the backs of taxpayers and the taxes we pay on income, goods, and services and nothing happens to them.
