The American people should know all the business interests of their President, foreign and domestic, in order to identify conflicts of interest and detect actions that are taken for reasons other than those stated by the administration. Business interests in foreign companies can skew foreign policy. Financial interests in domestic companies can skew domestic policy. If my President owns stock in a pharmaceutical company, or a military contractor, or a nuclear energy company, or a chain link fence manufacturer, for that matter, I want to know, and I want Congress and the judiciary and the rest of America to also know. Please confirm and publish the legal requirements for Presidents to disclose all of their financial interests, beginning (but not limited to) their tax returns. Thank you.
