Press for the appointment of a Human Rights Rapporteur for South Sudan. Arms Embargo on South Sudan.

Created by T.E. on March 17, 2016

The report of the The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) March 11th 2016 on atrocities and Human Rights violations in South Sudan has left no doubt that both the Government and the Opposition in South Sudan are guilty of Gross Crimes against Humanity and War Crimes. It is time that you instruct Susan Rice not to obstruct the motions in the SC for an arms embargo. It is also time that the US and other countries concerned about the peoples of South Sudan push for the appointment of a Human Rights Rapporteur with unlimited and free access to further assess and monitor human rights violations in South Sudan. The over due setting up of a Hybrid Court may encourage both sides to continue with their inhumane activities against their own citizens.
