To press Indonesian Government and President Joko Widodo to put effort to stop haze to Malaysia and Singapore annually

Created by L.L. on September 08, 2015

Despite Indonesian government has signed ASEAN Agreement on Transboundary Haze Pollution, Indonesia has done nothing to stop haze in South East Asia. As the major contributor of South East Asian haze, affecting Singapore and Malaysia (to lesser extent, Thailand and Philiipines), it has created lots of damage, especially Malaysianss and Singaporeans' health. It costs significant rise in respiratory cases among affected countries. We, as ASEAN citizens, urge Mr Obama, to urge Indonesian Government and its President, Mr Joko Widodo, to put effort to stop Indonesian fires that leads to hazardous haze in neighbouring countries, such as Malaysia and Singapore. It is also related human rights of ASEAN people to get fresh air and good livelihood!
