Pressure the Burmese government to end the abuses against the Rohingya and other ethnic minorities.

Created by M.K. on May 26, 2014

We petition the US government to pressure the Burmese government to stop its oppression of the Rohingya and other minority groups. The Burmese government has encouraged and turned a blind eye to ethnic cleansing campaigns, which have resulted in rape, torture and mass murders. Rohingya and Kachin men and boys are randomly arrested; Rohingya women and girls are often forced into labor, sold as prostitutes, or gang raped. Hundreds of thousands of Rohingya are being placed in internment camps and denied food and basic medical care; Doctors Without Borders has been banned from helping them. The US should not sit by and watch as the human rights of Rohingya and other ethnic minorities are violated. All economic and military aid to Burma should be stopped until these abuses end.
