Pressure the Canadian Government to respect their treaties with the First Nations Peoples and defend their sovereignty

Created by A.W. on December 23, 2012

On December 10th, 2012, the Indigenous peoples of the First Nations of Canada rose up to defend their inalienable sovereign rights. The First Nations demand the government of Canada respect their human rights and the treaties they hold with the Canadian government and the Commonwealth. While the First Nations work to defend their sovereignty by blockade and protest, we demand that the Obama Administration and the State Department of the United States pressure their Canadian counterparts to defend the rights of the Native peoples of Canada.

The First Nations have the right to self-governance, they have the right to self-determination, and the government of Canada does not have the right to steal or give away their land, resources, or sovereignty. We stand with the First Nations, IdleNoMore
