pressure China to halt deportations of North Korean refugees.

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea has been committing gross human rights violations under its dictatorial Kim dynasty since the end of the Vietnam war. Hundreds of thousands of North Koeans flee the country every year, escaping into China in hopes of a better life. China refuses to acknowledge the inhumanities commited by North Korea and sends these defectors back to their home country. The government either executes defectors or holds them, along with three generations of their family, in prison labor camps set up much like the Nazi death camps of World War II. I urge President Obama to pressure China into recognizing these defectors as refugees who only hope to bring their families to China to escape oppression, famine and subhuman treatment at the hands of their own government.
