We urge President Obama to lead the international community to pressure China to change its ill-fated policies regarding Tibet and to give Tibetans living in Tibet universal rights and freedoms that all humans deserve.
Mr. President, as leader of the free world you are in the unique position to affect real meaningful change regarding the Tibet issue.
People are dying every day and living in despair without hope for a better future.
Since 2009, 76 Tibetans have self-immolated to express their rejection of Chinese repressive policies in Tibet (Nov, 2012). They have done such acts to let the UN and the world know the Tibetan people's true aspirations. All calling for a peaceful resolution of the Tibetan issue and the return of HH the Dalai Lama to Tibet.
The time to act is now.
