Germany has become a world leader in preventing climate change by passing the German Renewable Energy Act. This enables anyone, citizens or businesses, to sell renewable energy to the grid at a fixed price. This act has empowered many Germans to make positive changes in their lives to become less fossil fuel reliant and protect the environment. We would like the United States of America to follow in Germany's footsteps by passing a similar law. By reducing our own reliance of fossil fuels we will leave our children with a healthy planet. Their futures will not have to include a planet in panic because they have run out of fossil fuels.
