Pressure Congress to institute paid maternity leave and put the US on par with with nearly every other country.

Nearly every country in the world has some form of paid maternity leave. The list of those countries is long, but here is a sample: Canada, Mexico, Japan, Jordan, New Zealand, China, Cambodia, Yemen, Iran, Mali, Rwanda, Somalia, Norway, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Romania, Italy, Germany. Three countries do not have paid leave. Those countries are Swaziland, Papua New Guinea, and the United States of America. In America, we believe that families should be free to procreate without giving up a paycheck. Paid maternity leave is crucial for family stability during a time that is often uncertain and life-altering. Americans everywhere are shocked and disturbed that it has taken this long to have a serious discussion on an issue that America should be pioneering rather than lagging behind.
