Pressure Congress to pass the "Putting Veterans First Act," so that our veterans can get all the benefits they deserve.

Created by R.S. on December 30, 2013

In 2009, Congress passed an advance appropriation bill for the Department of Veterans Affairs; the bill allowed VA medical accounts to be funded a year in advance. However, the medical accounts are only apart of the Department of Veteran Affairs' obligations that need to be funded promptly. The proposed "PUTING VETERANS FUNDING FIRST ACT OF 2013," will allow Congress to fund all discretionary accounts a year in advance. "Putting all VA funding first will give them the first bit of the funding apple, insuring budget levels are sufficient and delivered on time." Our veterans were there for us when we needed them the most, and the Putting Veterans Funding First Act of 2013 will ensure they have our support during their time of need.
