Pressure Congress into passing a law which clearly states that public officials (including police) may be recorded

A federal law should be passed which allows for the visual, audio, and any other recording of any and all public officers while on public property including, but not limited to, officers of law, elected officials, and school administrators (some obvious exceptions may be made with school students and prisoners, all depending on the situation). This should over-ride all state laws which may prohibit this, including, but definitely not limited to wiretapping laws. It is important for citizens to record these officials while they are carrying out their duties to ensure a level of accountability. Recordings of police misconduct (although maybe rare) have been extremely helpful in past cases. Please sign if you are for accountability!
