During the late PM administration Ethiopian government passed a controversial anti-terrorism law.The law intentionally targets citizens media,journalists and bloggers as a result many prominent journalists fled the country and journalists like Reeyot Alemu and Eskinder Nega detained.
Reeyot Alemu has scored more than two years in incarceration in one of the world horrible state prison called Kaliti.She is denied to have her basic rights,she is not allowed to see her visitors other than family,she is not allowed to have access to books,doctors and lawyer.Her situation is deteriorating time after time.
As a result we urge the President Obama administration to pressure the Ethiopian government in releasing journalists like Reeyot Alemu who are charged for their profession.
