Pressure Facebook.com to integrate the long face emoticon into their chat program.

Created by J.S. on March 25, 2013

When more commonly used emoticons such as, :) and :P are sent over Facebook chat, they are replaced with friendlier pictures that help add emotion to communication. The long face emoticon, typed ": - /" without quotes, is not replaced by any picture. This "alternative" emoticon is just as important as, if not more than, every other currently supported emoticon. It amplifies the emoticon ":/" (skeptical, annoyed) by making it much longer. This is all to often necessary to use and by not having it delivered in a more pleasant way, we are telling citizens that while you may express your feelings through chat, if you want to make it longer, its not going to look nice. This amounts to a quasi-violation of freedom of speech, which will escalate to full censorship if not stopped now.
