Pyracetam, Aniracetam, and related drugs are difficult to find. They are not illegal-per-se; they are simply unapproved drugs, and thus are not allowed to be labeled for any effect.
Pyracetams have the known effect--based on studies in the US and many European countries--of cognitive enhancement and neuroprotection. Persons taking racetams experience less brain damage from oxygen deprivation, blows to the head, and excess alcohol consumption. Racetams are less toxic than table salt.
The use of Racetams increases creativity, retention, and verbal memory. It allows people to learn faster and speak better. The FDA should stop pressuring Racetam suppliers and start regulating it as an OTC GRAS drug with known nootropic effects.
