The museum for the National September 11 Memorial & Museum will be charging a mandatory fee estimated to be between $20-$25. It is outrageous to think that this museum, a history of what happened on 9/11 will only be available to those who can pay. They should do what many NYC museums do and ask for a "whatever you can" donation. The Board of Directors needs to re-evaluate their decision to take money for this museum. All they are doing is prohibiting anyone without the funds access to a national exhibit. They should find their money elsewhere, I'm sure they could easily find private donors to supplement the cost.
