Pressure the National Basketball Association to award an expansion team to Seattle

Created by M.W. on April 30, 2013

The great City of Seattle deserves to see the return of the Seattle Supersonics. Chris Hansen and his ownership group have a one of a kind arena deal that won't cost taxpayers any money in the long term, bringing a world class arena to the city without taking dollars away from more important things.

Despite this, David Stern and the NBA are refusing to consider expansion, and it appears that the Sacramento Kings will remain put (as they do deserve a team as well). The Sonics return to the NBA would bring the richest ownership group in the league, a team to the 12th biggest market in the US, and a revenue sharing team. All of this would lift the valuation of the 30 other NBA teams.

Also, Barack, your Bulls beat us in the finals in '96, so maybe you can do us a solid to make it up to us?
